
Amar and Dena are the people you will talk to if you have software questions or problems with EUREKA, eCOCIS, Occ-U-Sort, MicroSkills or EUREKA.org. We handle all the inhouse hardware and software issues. We also turn the files ID, the Information Development Department, creates into data for our software & website.
John and Yamin work on contract helping us with the software and website.
Amar Khalsa
Amar has worked at EUREKA since 1993. He handles technical questions for the different versions of EUREKA or ECOCIS and also tries to keep our network running smoothly. He works closely with our Information Department to facilitate more efficient updates to our data and is one of our proof-readers.
Amar is also a part-time musician and yoga instructor.
Dena Ringen-Sanchez
I handle technical calls for EUREKA.org. I primarily develop and maintain the websites and our Facebook presence. If there is anything wrong with our websites blame me, then tell me about it.
How I got here: I graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz, with a BA in Computer and Information Sciences in 1996. I worked for a temporary employment agency for a few months. Using the phone skills I learned from those administration and dispatch jobs I landed in EUREKA's Technical Support Department in 1997.
John Pfeiffer
- John is our contract programmer. So far he has influenced our MicroSkills and EUREKA software. He is a Spanish linguist, having learned his skills at the U.S. Army defense Language School in Monterey, California. After the army, John earned a BS in Computer Science at San Francisco State University.
Yamin Bilal
Yamin redesigns our websites, tests the software, and works on our email campaigns. Yamin has also been involved in designing new features in EUREKA.org, and translating the Brief Occupations, Career Themes, Education Themes, Occ-U-Sort and other features into Spanish.
