MicroSkills won't launch! Something about finding a config file.
This happens on networks or when EUREKA is not installed on the root of the C drive. A tech from a site found this solution:
- Rename eureka32.exe to eureka32_1.exe
- Create a batch file and name it eureka32.exe with the following lines
@echo off
skillsiv.exe
eureka32_1.exe
exit
Existing shortcuts to eureka32.exe will still work on workstations.

"Error writing program path to prefs file" when EUREKA launches.
Change the .ini files in the EUREKA directory from read only to writeable. Or delete the .ini files.
I can't get into Counselor's configuration.

Colleges/Universities Database Printing
When comparing 3 schools, sometimes the columns in some sections appear out of line - only 2 columns are visible on the screen. You must move the horizontal scroll bar to see the third column. This is due to long website addresses. If a user tries to print the information, the third column is cut off.
Here are 2 possible solutions. After choosing Print, a print dialog will appear. Click on Properties and:
- Change Scaling to 75%-80%. For some HP printers, this is found under Graphics.
or
- Change the page orientation from Portrait to Landscape.
Data Out Of Date Message
An out of date message can only be fixed with the latest CD.
- Check that EUREKA's welcome dialog reflects the current school year. If not look for your EUREKA Master Update CD. If it too had last year's dates then contact Leonor about getting another CD. Otherwise install the new CD.
